A ProVice is a unique combination of college applicant’s profile information and advice from currently enrolled Ivy League students. Profile information includes components from that of Common App (ie.scores, extracurricular activity list, awards, scholarships, essays, and short answer questions. In the Advice section, you will find advice from college students on various topics ranging from how to pick “reach”/ “probable”/ “safety” schools, descriptions of the culture and student life of the college he/she is attending for high school students to be able to gauge whether the school is the right fit for them and more.
We believe students can benefit greatly from ProVices early in their high school years or even towards late middle school years as it allows them to discover various paths available at an earlier stage. Preparation (how and when) is the key to a successful college application process and as such, we recommend students start as soon as freshman year in high school and not around the time a student starts to fill out college applications.
Nevertheless, high school seniors can use GoSeeApp to further improve one’s college applications through reviewing college students’ personal essays and short answer questions and/or various presentations of one’s passion, developments and learnings through extracurricular activities, scholarships and awards that all lead to a successful admission.
ALL ProVices go through a meticulous manual review to ensure high quality and credibility of information shared by current Ivy League students. For example, we verify all non-school extracurricular activities, competitions, and scholarships shared by college students and utilize outside third party software such as Turnitin service to check for plagiarism on essays and short answer questions shared by college students. We also manually review each answer to verify usefulness and serviceability before being available to high school customers.
We want you to find the ProVices that would be most relevant and beneficial to you, so we have created numerous search functions including, but not limited to, data oriented and activity based searches. We also recommend searching via locality as it will help you to find unique extracurricular activities, awards, and scholarships that you were not aware of NEAR YOU.
To help you fine tune your ProVice searches, our preview function includes word count of short answers and personal statements, and number of extracurricular activities, awards, and competitions. In addition, our editors provide brief insights to various advice of our college student partners in the previews.
Reviews help customers to learn more about the ProVice and decide whether it is the right product for them, and we encourage our customers to share reviews and opinions, both favorable and unfavorable. The ProVice customers’ reviews are displayed after ten reviews have been collected. GoSeeApp has a zero tolerance policy for any review designed to mislead or manipulate customers and we reserve the right to remove such reviews at our discretion.
We recommend you begin with 5-10 ProVices so that you have enough references. Please do keep in mind that it is totally up to you to purchase however many. We believe the more roadmaps you see, the easier it would be to foster your interests and passions as well as to prepare you to make wise choices.
ProVices expire one year after purchase.
You can find previously purchased ProVices in your profile section under History.
