My provice contains unique extracurricular activities and awards. I had a special interest and passion in debate. So, I believe that high school students who are also interested in debate should especially find my provice helpful. Furthermore, I had used essay consulting services for my essay and short answers, so they should be a good rubric for high school students to match in regards to the quality of their essays and short answers. The topic of my essay was on “My Unique Experience”, so students who have already chosen to write about this topic should ready my essay to spark new ideas and to gain more insights by paying close attention to how I have unfolded my story in my essay.

- Teachers are important. Talk to the teachers and see how well students have been doing on the AP exams. If students were scoring high generally, I suggest you take the course to earn a high mark on an additional AP exam
- I suggest students to take 2 in 11th grade and 3 in 12th grade.

I used Princeton Review’s proofreading services. They corrected grammar and looked for typos. They also gave me tips on how I should rephrase certain parts of my essays. They were not that helpful.
- What non-school extracurricular/summer activities would you have considered? | I suggest students to take 2 in 11th grade and 3 in 12th grade.

I did a lot of research online and tried to find what the school was highlighting. Among the highlights, I picked out the ones that I could personally related to. If possible, I would like to go back and try to get in touch with students who attend the school and ask questions on their experience.

Went to schools’ websites to learn more about the schools and the statistics of the accepted class. Then, I consulted my guidance counselor to come up with 3 reach, 5 probable, and 2 safety schools.

I chose my school because I loved the fact that it was a small Ivy League school and the fact that it was in NYC. I thought that there would be many merits coming from just the fact that the school was located in NYC. I have been wanting to experience the city life. Furthermore, I wanted to major in Architecture and found out that the school offered fantastic faculty members. I have personally been following the works of Professor Joon Choi and I thought it would be an amazing opportunity for me to learn from him.

Smart, well-rounded, good leadership, takes initiative

Academically, the school has been a lot more challenging than I expected. As compared to other schools, our average GPA is much lower. For example, Cornell which is a school known to be challenging just to graduate has an average GPA of 3.33; ours is 2.66.

Students are extremely involved in current events. There are many events and organizations that you could and should be part of, that you may not have know to have an interest for before college
-
No surprises here. The school offers great facilities including dorms, cafeteria, classrooms, etc. Being in NYC, school offers discounted tickets to Broadway shows and NY Yankees. So, I would recommend to take advantage
-
I suggest you visit our school and take a tour. I also recommend reaching out to a student organization of your interest to see if they can connect you to a current student for any questions you might have. I also recommend that you find out which freshmen dorms are the best and try to get into those.
-
I would advise current HS students to finish their SATs early so that they have ample time to spend on their college applications. Also, I would advise that they get started early(9th grade) to find out about their interests and passion so that they can cultivate their passion further in high school. I truly believe that in any experience, what you put in is what you get out of. So, instead of trying to shallowly experience too many things, I would pick out a few of my interests and immerse myself in activities that can develop my interests further
